Cute Harajuku Review - Karuta Cosplay Wig

Hello there!

I'm back with another review, this time for my sponsor Cute Harajuku! I was sponsored an item of my choice for completing a Christmas opportunity set by them and I chose a Karuta (Inu X Boku) cosplay wig!

It arrived about 2 weeks after it was shipped, which is very good as this was around Christmas time! I was quite surprised to see this package come so early :3

This is how they were stored inside of the packaging. The base wig is in its own bag and both of the pony tail clips were kept in another bag :) They were all stuffed lightly with paper filling to hold their shape and covered in a net to protect them and hold they together during their travels. The cardboard pieces inside the bag helped make sure the bag wasn't squished and potentially break the precious cargo.

When I put on the wig, this is how it looks! It's so cute!

As you can see, it is very easily decorated with bows and clips. I only used two bows and four clips, but you can use as many as you want and it will still look very adorable! Please note that the wig only looks shiny in this picture because my flash is on! It is not as shiny without flash!

Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to cosplay with this wig as Karuta, yet, as I am waiting for my cosplay from SpreePicky to arrive!

For those who are unfamiliar with this style of wig, the wig has three components! The first part of the wig is the base wig, which can be worn by itself if you want. I think this look is very chic on my square face!

Don't be fooled by the small wig stand! The bottom of the wig sweeps below my chin quite sweetly!

The next two component of this wig are the pony tails, which are the fibres hand sown around a clip to attach them onto the wig. This is what it looks like!

If you are looking for a very thick wig with lots of hair, this is probably not the wig for you. I found that the base, especially around the fringe, was pretty thin compared to my wigs from Arda, though Arda's wigs are notorious for being super thick so that is a quite the unfair comparison! I believe that this thinness is caused from the split part for the fringe being closer to the front than my other wigs. I don't believe it is too much of a problem and in fact makes it much easier to style even without products.

Other than the thinness, I have yet to encounter any problems with it! It is very easy to brush and very, very soft. Incredibly soft. Like a pink bunny. I'm not even exaggerating, I've owned four bunnies and this feels like a bunny!

To top it all off, this wig is heat proof up to 180 Degrees Celcius, which is very high standards for synthetic wigs. I am not sure as to the specific fibre used, though it feels as though it could be a soft form of hiperlon but don't take my word for it! I could be wrong!

Also, when I first got this wig, the pony tails were rather curly but I found this to irritating as they were curled in the same direction as each other and decided that I was going to use my hair dryer to quickly loosen some of the curls into nice, thick waves. I also think this texture matches my school styled Karuta cosplay as the curly version was for the maid style Karuta!

Now for the ratings:

Colour: 10/10
I looooovveeeee the colour of this wig. My other pink wig has multiple coloured fibres and tends to appear more red. This wig is all one colour and is a softer shade of pink! I really like it ^.^

Thickness: 7/10
It can't compare to the thickness of an Arda wig, but it isn't thin anywhere other than the fringe so it deserves at least a 7! And really, the fringe isn't that thin, I am just used to very thick wigs xD

Affordability: 8/10
I think this wig is definitely worth it if you have the money. This wig can achieve many styles depending on which components you want to use and where you want to place them! Though at $25USD, this wig may be above some of your budgets if you are only a casual or beginner wig wearer which is why I am only giving it an 8!

Fibre Quality: 8/10
This wig is soft, heat proof and appears amazing. That's all you could ask for, right? Well, the only problem is is that a wig this soft has some trouble being teased and puffed, so someone with little experience adding volume to hair may struggle to make this wig (especially the base) to do exactly as you want it to. But hey, its soft, cute and heat proof which is pretty damn awesome. Also, it's incredibly easy to brush and doesn't tangle very much!

Overall: 8/10
Though this wig is quickly becoming a new favourite of mine, I am rating it as a rough average of the other scores. I really, really like this wig and intend to wear it quite often. I love how soft it is and how feminine I look. I especially love that I look cutesy and childish when I have the clips on and then if I remove them, suddenly I am appearing mature and very chic.

I am quite proud to be a sponsor of Cute Harajuku, and very happy to have had this opportunity to work with this store. I am sure this will not be the last time you hear about Cute Harajuku.

Again, here is the link to THE WIG which is $25USD. If you use my code, you can get 10% off your entire order from this store!

I hope you enjoyed reading this review and I hope that it helped you decide whether or not you want to purchase this wig!

ByeBye for now!

LemonyLemon Review

Hi guys!

It's me again back with another review, this time for some accessories that I have from a store called LemonyLemon~

LemonyLemon is a store based in Australia that focuses on selling decorative nails and kawaii accessories! They are also very affordable, which is a plus because you don't want to be spending too much money on accessories ^.^ Seriously, some stuff I see in other stores are wayyyyy over priced and I feel very ripped off just by looking at the price tag -_-' Fwhuuu~

The items took 7 days to arrive at my house because I am in the same country as the store, so I assume that if you were to order and you are outside Australia, then it may take 2-3 weeks.

When they arrived and I undid the basic packaging, it looked like this~

They were very securely wrapped up and the items themselves were wrapped in bubble packaging to stop them from breaking during their travels. The packaging is simple and very easy to open, which I found was very good.

First, was the necklace, which seems to be out of stock now but you can find more HERE

You can see from the picture that the necklace is a cute little bunny rabbit wearing a bow with a beaded chain ~ All the colours are really bright and pastel which means this necklace is suitable for any kawaii fashion such as Lolita ^_^

It's made from hard plastic and the bow and chain are glued onto the rabbit. The invisible glue seems to be very tough and it looks unlikely to break any time soon! I really like this necklace and I intend to wear it a lot!

This necklace was $12AUD to buy and definitely worth the money.

Next are the two rings that I received:
The rings are brightly coloured and large on my fingers, so they stand out! (But they aren't too distracting).
You can purchase rings from LemonyLemon HERE for under $5.00AUD.

The rings are made entirely from hard plastic (bar the band which is painted metal) and, as you can see in the third image, flexible to suit most fingers. Mine fit nicely on my first three fingers but are a little loose on my small, pinky finger :3

These rings are held together by glue which is invisible and very tough. Again, I think it would take quite a lot to break the rings as they seems pretty durable~

Here are some images of my wearing the items :3

As you can see, the items are super sweet and appropriate for photo shoots :3 I don't yet have a discount code for the items but as you probably realized it isn't really necessary when everything is super cheap xD I mean, the rings are under $5 and the necklace is $12 :3 The value for money is amazing hehehe

I will definitely be wearing these again in the future so stick around to see more.

Don't forget to check out my social media where I spend most of my time: Instagram, Facebook, Youtube

Special thanks to LemonyLemon for sponsoring me these items to review!

Until next time, byebye!

PinkyParadise Vassen Dolly Plus Red Review

Hi guys, it's AquilasKiss again with another review :)
This time I will be reviewing a pair of circle lenses from Pinky Paradise called Vassen Dolly Plus Red.
They arrived earlier on this week after about 2-3 weeks of shipping them, so the average time with cheaper shipping. When they arrived and I had opened them, they looked like this:
They came with the cutest pink Macaron case ever :3

Want a macaroon case with your order as well? use my coupon code 'AquilasKiss' when you order from Pinky Paradise  and you will get a cutie macaron case and mystery gift with every pair of lenses purchased :3

When I lifted them up in the bottle, they look like this!
This is what they look like in the Cutie Macaron case!

After leaving them to soak, I finally tried them on and voila~

If you want to see them in a much more realistic way, you can watch my video with them HERE :)

Diameter: 14.5/15mm
Water content: 42%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: 1 year disposable
They are available in a wide range of prescriptions

You can purchase the Vassen Dolly Plus Red from Pinky Paradise for $22.90 USD, which is a very reasonable price for these lenses. They are a new favourite of mine now hehehehe :)
~If you are going to purchase these lenses, don't forget to include my coupon code AQUILASKISS for a free cutie case and a mystery gift~

Comfort 9/10
I can barely feel them! The reason they are not a 10 is because their larger size can make them a little bit more difficult for beginners to insert :)

Enlarging 10/10
They are super large and cute and even though they are a harsh red colour, they still somehow manage to look absolutely adorable. Like a big, beautiful doll!

Colour: 8/10
They are super vibrant and rich. They are not as bright as the Vassen Cloud Nine Red lenses that I use for my Dave Strider cosplay, but they are certainly rich. They are also very rounded so some of your natural colour will show through the center which may or may not be a problem for people with a lighter eye colour.

Overall: 9/10
I really enjoyed wearing these lenses a lot more than I thought I would as they are red. I will be using them for my Gou from Free! cosplay and I am quite happy with them.

Cafe Mimi Latte ~ Uniqso Review

Hey guys ~

I'm here with a review for the circle lenses that I received from Uniqso! These lenses are the Cafe Mimi Latte :)

When I was ordering from Uniqso, the service was quick and easy and I got my package right on time! When it came in the mail and I opened it, the lenses looked like this~
I like the packaging :D
My eyes are naturally brown, so when I put them in my eye they expanded the eye, rather than circling it with another colour. This is how they came out on my brown eyes~
You could do some pretty cool things with these lenses~
You can purchase these lenses from Uniqso for $23.90USD but if you want to get them cheaper you can use my discount code 'AQUILAS' for 10% off  !!

Comfort 10/10
As long as you take care of these lenses you will not be able to feel them! I was wearing them for 7-8 hours without any issues and I felt super cute as well!

Coverage/Appearance 7/10
I give these lenses a 7 for coverage and appearance because they are super cute however they only line the outside of your eyes so if you're looking for a huge eye colour change these won't help with that. They will however make your eyes look really big!

These lenses are very natural looking so you could get away with using these lenses in every day fashion like I do. Even my family thought they looked very natural! These are definitely the lenses to use in fashion and if you're after lenses for a character with gold or brown eyes, these are definitely the lenses for you. Here are some more fantastic natural looking circle lenses

Where can I get these lenses?
Uniqso is the best place to buy these lenses and a great circle lense company if you want good quality and big eyes at a really affordable price. They have a very large selection, so even if you are not after these lenses you can get many different ones.

I really like these lenses and I can definitely see myself wearing them a lot!

{Use my discount code AQUILAS for 10% off from all order from Uniqso!}

Barbie Bella 4 Tones Brown ~ Uniqso Review

Hey guys! It's me again :D

Today I will be reviewing a pair of lovely Barbie Bella 4 Tones Brown circle lenses that I received from Uniqso. I really like these lenses because of their natural appearance and the enhancing features.

This is what the lenses looked like when I opened the mail:
They come in a pretty white and gold packaging.
This is them inside of the case:

They look really green in this case but they come out slightly browner, like so!

You can purchase these lenses from Uniqso for $16.90 so they're fairly cheap. When you purchase from Uniqso you can also use my discount code 'AQUILAS' for 10% off your order! (That means you can get these lenses for $15.20 which is super cheap!)

Comfort: 10/10
I honestly cannot feel these lenses at all when they are in my eyes. They are really well made and make me feel super cute even with my natural hair out.

Coverage/Appearance: 8/10
These lenses add tones to your eyes so that have a lot of tiny, clear patches which allows your natural colour to shine through. These lenses I would recommend for someone with brown or green eyes like myself, but if you have blue eyes then you can get the Barbie Bella 4 Tones Blue/Green version for a nicer look :)
These lenses are also really wide and make me look super doe-eyed but looking natural because they enhance my own eyes so wonderfully.

Total: 9/10
I really do like these lenses and I will find myself using these lenses in casual situations that I can get away with wearing lenses... unlike if I was wearing an entirely different colour. These lenses look super cute naturally and I recommend them to anyone who is after a nice set of doe-eyed fashion lenses to enhance your own eye colour.

If you would like to see more of me you can go check out my Instagram, Tumblr and Facebook.
If you decide to purchase these or any other products from Uniqso, don't forget to use my discount code 'AQUILAS' for 10% off!

EOS Fairy/Fay Blue Lense Review

Hey guys!
I'm back with another lense review. These lenses are call the EOS Fairy (or Fay) Series in the colour blue.

These lenses have a base curse of 8.8mm or 8.6mm and a diameter of 14.5mm. I really like these lenses because they are a lighter shade of blue and look a lot more natural than, say, the EOS Dolly Eye Series.

This is me wearing them:

I find they dry my eyes out a little bit quicker than the other lenses I own but other than that there is no irritation and I could wear them all day without a problem.

They do let a little bit of the natural eye colour through the centre in bright places but it is not very noticeable at all unless you get up really close the lenses.

These can be used in every day fashion but I also wear them for my Alois Trancy cosplay and even my Luka Megurine cosplay. If you want to see these images you can check out my Instagram or Facebook :)

Where can I get these lenses?
You can get these lenses from almost any large circle lenses company yet I suggest you get yours from Uniqso because they're a lot cheaper :P

This review was short but I really do like these lenses so I highly recommend them to anyone interested in circle lenses!

Wig Review- Arda Wigs

Hey guys, AquilasKiss here!

So about 2 weeks ago I received some lovely wigs from Arda Wigs and now I am going to review them for you.
The first thing you need to know about Arda is that they mainly sell Hiperlon wigs, which is a wig fibre that can be straightened up to 180 Degrees Celsius. The kind of fibres they use are a little bit coarser than most other fibres but this just makes it easier for styling!
I order 3 wigs from Arda but I will only be reviewing two of those because the third is being kept a secret until I have enough of the cosplay outfit for it~
So the first wig I bought was called Luthien in the colour Rose Pink.
This is what the wig looked like when I wore it straight out of the bag:
As you can see, it's a very pretty colour and it came a nice, wavy kind of curly. I was oddly surprised that it hadn't knotted or tangled in the bag!
After some personal tweaking, to make it suit the characters Luka Megurine (Vocaloids) and Yuno Gasai (Future Diary), it came out looking like this:
So, I can confirm that the wigs are very easily straightened and heat styled and they still look wonderful afterwards.
Sadly, I do not have a picture of the other wig in it's original state, but after trimming the fringe a little bit, it looked like this:
This is the wig Magnum in Cobalt Blue. (Please excuse how bad I look >< ).

Arda wig usually charges about $30USD for a shorter wig and $40USD for longer wigs. It can vary but I found this to be the most common pricing.

The only problem that is encountered when ordering from Arda Wigs is their stock. They're fairly popular and they go out of stock rather quickly. Fortunately, you are able to pre-order wigs so that when the type that you wants is restocked they will be shipped to you when they get in the store. The process of restocking usually takes about 2 months between restocks, at least is has been lately. But they usually have a lot in anyway and it's really worth the wait. Also, they do inform you of when these wigs will be restocking so it isn't just a blind stab in the duck.

If you would like some details about the inside of the caps and the structure in which these wigs are made, I have a video review up on my youtube and the link to the video is here: Arda Wigs Review

Customer Service: 5/5
I have sent Arda several emails in which they have responded rather quickly, even when it wasn't necessary to. They answered all of my questions kindly and provided me with a lot of help in regard to wigs.

Wig fibre: 4.5/5
Hiperlon has become my new favourite wig fibre and I love how easy these wigs are to style. The third wig that I got was a bit oily(?) to touch, though but I'm sure I can fix that with a wash. The others were fine.

Photograph: 5/5
These wigs photograph splendidly and provide enough shine to seem healthy but not enough to seem fake. Look at the above pics for reference. They're also very thick and the netting is reeeeeeeaaaaaaallyyy unlikely to show.

Design: 5/5
The design of the wig cap is very practical. Their skin tops come in various sizes depending on the wig you get. They wig caps are all adjustable to fit almost any head shape.

Overall: 5/5
I will DEFINITELY be buying from Arda again. I really, really like their wigs and I highly recommend them to any dedicated cosplayer etc who is looking to buy some good quality wigs!

AquilasKiss~ Vassen Lollipop Violet Lense Review

Hey lovelies,

I have another pair of lenses from Pinky Paradise that I wanted to review.

This pair is from the Vassen Lollipop series in the colour violet. This lense also has flecks of yellow in it that don't show too much when inserted into a brown eye. When you first receive these lenses and open them, you will see a lot of yellow is visible however there is no need to worry as the colour comes up a lot more purple and the yellow is harder to see.

This is a picture of me wearing them when I cosplayed as Tamaki Suoh:

For some reason the hair in that pic came up very yellow... my apologies...

Anyway, we can see that they come up as a very deep violet shade with some yellow to break it up. I was considering using this pair to cosplay as Drocell Keinz from Black Butler as they are coloured perfectly for his eyes.

These contacts are 14.5mm wide, with 8.6mm as the base curve. They are very soft and quite easy to get into your eye for a lense with such diameter. You can barely feel them once they are in your eye and I have had no problems with the colour invading my eyesight.

These are priced very fairly at $23.90 USD at Pinky Paradise and well worth every dollar. (link to lense here)

AquilasKiss~Vassen Bambi Queen Brown Contacts Lenses Review

Hey, everyone, AquilasKiss here.

So I received some Vassen Bambi Queen brown contact lenses from Pinky Paradise.

As you know, if you've been following me on my other websites such as Instagram, Tumblr or anywhere else I am known, I have dark brown eyes that sometimes appear golden green.

When I put on the Bambi Queen Brown this is how it appears on my eyes:

(top: C.C from Code Geass, bottom: Asuna from Sword Art Online)

As you can see, the contacts lenses are very enlarging at  14.5 mm. They are great for every day use, lolita and cosplays for characters with brown/gold eyes. They look incredibly natural over almost any eye and have a large coloured area so almost none of my natural eye colour can be seen.

They are incredibly comfortable and easy to insert into the eye. I only had a little bit of irritation with my left eye but I believe that has little to do with the quality of the lense. Currently, these are my most used contact lenses for cosplay because of the natural effect they have on my eye when I'm doing characters with large, brown eyes.

The lenses are affordable at a price of $23.90 USD and really worth the invested money. The lenses have gold flecks also, to create a more bright, golden effect which is unique.
